POLICIES & TRUST
Editorial Standards & Corrections
Effective October 20, 2026.
Scope
We publish practical exterior-project information for coastal homeowners, initially focused on the Myrtle Beach and Charleston regions. Our coverage includes siding, decking, windows and doors.
Sources and review
Local rule and permit claims should point to the relevant government authority. Product claims should be checked against current manufacturer documentation. Documented projects need permission, verified scope and clear attribution. Reviewers must be identified honestly with relevant qualifications; an author’s employment is not a substitute for engineering, code or other professional credentials.
Publishing and updates
Articles must distinguish facts, opinions, estimates and examples. We will record publication and substantive update dates and clearly identify material awaiting review. Automated publishing is not enabled. Future automation must retain source verification and editorial approval.
Commercial transparency
We disclose the owner’s Contract Exteriors employment and any applicable sponsorship or compensation near relevant recommendations. Paid relationships must not be presented as independent editorial evaluation.
Corrections
Send a correction request to [email protected], including the page URL, the statement at issue and a supporting source if available. We will assess it and correct material errors. Substantive corrections should be noted on the affected article; minor spelling or formatting changes need not create a new substantive update date.
